Preparations

For any surgery there are some routine investigations to evaluate your body condition whether it is ready for surgery or not. For thigh liposuction, you have to stop smoking at least two weeks before the surgery. Also have to take some medication to adjust yourself suggested by doctor. You have to stop taking Aspirin, any anti thrombolytic agent, anti-inflammatory agent or herbal medicines that may increase bleeding during liposuction.

Possible complications

Other than some small side effects like bruising, swelling, scar, pain, numbness, some unwanted possible complications like uneven contour, loose skin, nerve damage, anesthesia risk, infection, scarring should also be kept in mind. Thigh liposuction may also be associated with rapidly growing mycobacterial infection after the procedure.
